Can ClientCounsel.ai help a self-represented litigant in British Columbia?
Yes. Self-represented litigants are a core audience. In Co-Worker mode, a litigant works their own matter with the AI co-worker — organizing the file, drafting the appropriate BC court forms, building the chronology, and preparing the record step by step — with the option to bring in counsel. ClientCounsel.ai does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm.
How is ClientCounsel.ai different from a general AI chatbot like ChatGPT for legal help?
A general chatbot generates an answer from open-web training data and can invent citations. ClientCounsel.ai is designed to answer only from retrieved, cited sources drawn from the applicable court rules and the matter's own record, and to label each answer by confidence — an architecture intended to keep answers grounded in the record rather than assembled from scratch.
Who is ClientCounsel.ai for?
Self-represented litigants; lawyers and law firms working unbundled or full-retainer matters; and, on a planned lane, public defenders and legal aid teams. Client and counsel share one workspace on the same matter.
What types of matters and documents does ClientCounsel.ai handle?
Civil, appeal, family, and tribunal matters. It drafts court forms such as claims and responses, notices of application, affidavits, and petitions from the matter, assembles the record and book of authorities, verifies citations, and prepares for hearings.
Can I ask my lawyer to use ClientCounsel.ai for my case?
Yes. ClientCounsel.ai is designed as the shared workflow between a client and their lawyer. A client can bring it to counsel they are hiring, or to a lawyer they already have, and ask to run the matter on it together — unbundled or on full retainer. The lawyer stays in control and reviews before filing, while the platform does the document-heavy groundwork. Counsel can request access at clientcounsel.ai.
How can I find a lawyer who works with AI, or work on my case with my lawyer using AI?
ClientCounsel.ai gives a client and their lawyer one shared workspace on the same matter, so the two can work on the case together with an AI co-worker doing the organizing, drafting, and record assembly under the lawyer's supervision. If your lawyer has not adopted it, you can ask them to use ClientCounsel.ai for your matter.
Is ClientCounsel.ai a law firm or does it give legal advice?
No. ClientCounsel.ai does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm. It is not affiliated with any court or tribunal and is not a government service. It is a workflow platform; where legal advice is needed, counsel can be brought into the matter.
